Case Dismissed?!
At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, it looks like the alleged murderer of Ermias Joseph Asghedom, 33, affectionately known to the world as Nipsey Hussel, is not being prosecuted. Nipsey's death is still too painful to bare, and I hope that it is just too early to really know for certain about Holder's trial, but, as of today, June 5, 2019, it looks like all charges against Eric Holder, have been dismissed!
I decided to research the status of this case. As a fan of the late great Nipsey Hussle, I wanted to know what was going on with the prosecution of suspected killer, Eric Holder. Additionally, I found it strange that the media has been so silent on the proceedings of this case, especially since this story dominated every headline after Nipsey's death. Why has this story suddenly and silently disappeared from the headlines?

During the course of my search, I discovered Los Angeles Superior Court Case Number BA476704. The case is assigned to the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center and was filed April 4, 2019, a few days after the murder. In this case, Eric Holder was charged with the following California Penal Code sections:
PC 187(A): Homicide: the murder/unlawful killing of a human being [...] with malice aforethought.
664-187(A): Attempted murder. PC 664 is the attempt and PC 187(A) is the crime of murder.
29800(A)(1): Prohibitions of access to a firearm as a convicted felon.

The above picture is an actual screenshot, of the online case summary from today, June 5, 2019. To my horror, it states that each charge has been dismissed, as of May 21, 2019! The Court disposition reads, "Dismissed or Not Prosecuted", which means these charges are not being prosecuted on this case. The record is unclear, because it does not state that charges are dismissed "with prejudice". If the charges were dismissed with prejudice, the District Attorney's Office would be barred from bringing these same charges against Holder again in the future.

Based on this information, it was unclear if Holder was still in custody, or not. I wanted to know more, so I kept digging. I decided to do a bit more research, and ran an "inmate locator" search. According to my search of this case information, it looks like Holder has been released from prison! Is this true? Is he no longer in custody? The image below states that Holder has been released since May 22, 2019. How is this possible? Is he truly not in prison, awaiting his next court hearing? If so, I can't believe my eyes, and I am at a loss as to how this man (Holder) could be set free, without bail, without trial, and without the media being alerted to his release.

To see such events unfold, is more than heartbreaking to me, if what I suspect, is true! Our beloved Nipsey deserves justice, and it is my hope that this is not a covert effort to keep us blind to a cover-up! We lost Tupac Shakur under similar circumstances, and it pains me to again lose such a great spirit and leader, in Nipsey Hussle too!

If you have any information about this case, or any future proceedings related to this case, please let us know in the comments! Should I discover any new developments in this case, I will do my part to keep you informed. Thank you for reading. Let's seek justice for King Nip!
